Queso Flameado Empenadas
(Appetizers)

Makes 24 Servings

Prep Time: 30 Min.

1 12 oz. package H&H Chorizo, cooked and drained
1 package puff pastry sheets, cut into 4 inch rounds
4 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
4 ounces Queso Asadero or Mozzarella, grated
2 each whole eggs – beaten

DIRECTIONS:
PRE HEAT OVEN TO 350
1. Combine both cheeses and chorizo and set aside.
2. Place the rounds on a flat surface and fill with 1 heaping tablespoon of chorizo mixture.
3. Seal the edges of the pastry with a little of the egg mixture.
4. Brush some egg mixture over the tops of the pastry.
5. Cook in pre-heated oven for approximately 8-10 minutes or until golden on the top. CAN BE SERVED WITH THE SAUCE OF YOUR CHOICE.
